  5. Young but experienced

We started our company, The Independables, a few months ago and it has been a very rewarding journey up till now. The setup of the company, the many talks and meetings between the two of us to discuss our proposition, the content of our website, logo, software to support our operations…a lot has happened since we decided to start our own business. As a company we’re young, we are a newborn, we’re learning and growing. But we’re growing up fast because we need to and we’re experienced. Experienced two ways: 1) in being an entrepreneur and 2) in supporting business transformations.

Both of us have experience in owning a company before. We have the experience in running and growing a business. That experience comes in very handy at this time, we know what we need to do to reach that ‘dot on the horizon’. Building a company is taking many small steps at a time and sometimes large steps, with the compounding effect to kick in in the future. Our experience also helps in focusing on the activities that need to be done at the right time and in the right order. And being flexible enough to adjust to any situation that comes along our journey. Our experience, our network, our ambition, it all helps to build what we have envisioned in our business plan. And we know that building a great company takes time, it is a step by step climb uphill.

We both have a long track record in assignments for our customers to support them during business transformations. This could be harmonising planning processes across the supply chain, merger of companies and the fast integration of business processes and systems or optimising operational processes (with support of an ERP system). Assignments for many customers, industries, company sizes, countries, cultures, all to add highly valued experience to our knowledge that can be reused in new assignments. Looking at a few of our previous assignments (https://www.theindependables.com/what-we-do/branches/), it makes us proud and humble. It makes us realise that we bring a valuable asset to the table that our experience get us up and running in a new assignment quickly and we’re capable of managing large and complex projects.

Being young feels great, feels thriving! Being in control of our destiny, having ambitious goals and dreaming of a bright future are all part of being young…as a company. Our experience is what makes us stand out, what guarantees the quality our customers look for. In the end, business transformations are journeys where the outcome is uncertain. Having experienced support reduces that uncertainty. Let us help you become successful.

Networked Organisations (part 2)

Networked Organisations

Before we officially started The Independables over a year ago, we created a business plan to think through our services and offering, financials, and of course, our growth model. In that growth model, we, like most people setting up a new organisation, envisioned a...

Three is the max!

Three is the max!

How many projects can a project manager handle without losing overview or impacting the output quality negatively? Many project managers have one assignment at a time. This allows for in-depth focus and 100% attention for this project. The amount of work to be...

How we deal with the next crisis: shortage of employees

The last few years we have experienced several crises in a row: pandemic, war, supply chain disruptions, shortages, high-energy prices, increasing food prices. Today, we stil feel the impact of the (past) crises and need to adjust to this new reality. And a next...

The key to success in business transformations

The key to success in business transformations

The success rate of business transformations is low, according to different studies (for example: McKinsey – 27% of transformation projects succeed). There are different success factors (and factors, when not addressed seriously, will cause failures), but what is the...
